When Val’s not behind his camera, he spends his time with his wife Stephanie on a horse ranch in Reno, NV with their Border Collie (Gillie), Karakachan livestock guardian dog (Myrtle), 4 Irish Wolfhounds (Cù, Saoirse, Fiona, Dùhgal) and their horses.

Val splits his time between his Orange County, California and Reno, Nevada locations. He also travels throughout the US for his business photography clients.
